2009 China Canada Ceramic Exchange Program Itinerary
Day one Arrive in Shanghai, Hotel downtown, rest and recovery from jet lag.
Two Visit Shanghai Museum, Old  Port of Shanghai, (the Pudong), and gallery area.
Three Fly to Kunming (Yunan), Hotel downtown Kunming, visit craft museum and local market. Dinner with local style cuisine.
Four Private bus to Lijaing, to visit the most unique old  Naxi people living area. Stopping at   textile and silver making villages.
Five Touring surrounding area around Lijaing. Visit old temple and papermaking and pottery village.
Six Private bus to Zhongdain , stay in  Tibetan style hotel and enjoy Tibetan cuisine.
Seven Visit one of the most important Tibetan  pottery villages, Naxi workshops and demonstrations by Tibetan master potters.
Eight Visit Tibet Monasteries and local villages.
Nine Bus to Dali stopping at pottery and tile making villages.
Ten Day trip to Weishang to visit one of the most important Buddha temples and local tie dye markets.
11 Bus back to Kunming airport and fly to Guiyan, the capital of Guizhou.
12 One day visit to Guizhou Museum, and local attractions.
13 Bus trip to Kaili where most of the Miao and other ethnic people are living. Hotel in Kaili..
14 Bus to Danzai, a 500 year old paper making village.
15 Bus trip to Leishang with traditional silver and pottery making villages.
16 Visit local textile market, bus back to Guiyang.
17 Fly to Nanchang and bus to Jingdezhen.
18 - 26 Exhibition and symposium, workshops and studio experience at Sanbao Ceramic Working Village. Touring porcelain studios and factory villages and old kiln sites around Jingdezhen. Exhibition opening party with traditional Beijing opera performance at Sanbao.  Lectures and workshops by international artists and local masters.
26 Fly back to Shanghai, Hotel in downtown Shanghai
27 Shopping and wandering around Shanghai, Farwell party with Shanghai style cuisine.
