Two week residency invitation to Sanbao

Jackson and the Sanbao team wishes to announce an important change to the Sanbao pre and post IAC conference tours.  There will be only a pre-Northern China tour and a post-Tibet tour being offered.  This change was to ensure that Jackson is available to lead both tours and ensure that the participants are given the best travel possible.

             This change in travel plans will also allow the IAC participants of these tours, the opportunity to accept the invitation of Jackson, to come to Sanbao to create ceramic pieces for either the outdoor park installation or for the 2008 Jingdezhen International Ceramic Expo and workshops, that will take place on 10 to 25 October 2008.

             The Northern China tour will depart Beijing, 01 September to arrive in Xian on 10 September in time for the IAC registration.

             The Tibet tour will depart 15 September, following the IAC conference, from Xian to return on 22 September to Xian, Beijing, Shanghai or Jingdezhen, depending upon your travel itineraries.  

 Please take note of the early bird registration deadline, giving a $100.00 Euro saving: 30 April 2008.

             The final registration date is 30 June 2008.

Sanbao Ceramic International Park Symposium 2008

             2008 will be a banner year for the Jingdezhen Sanbao Ceramic Art Institute activities.  One of the major projects being planned by Jackson and his team is the creation and installation of The Sanbao Ceramic International Park.

             IAC members and other international ceramic artists are invited, as a guest of Sanbao, to participate in a large-scale outdoor ceramic symposium, where they will be able to make work that will be installed in the park during the fall of 2008, to create work that will be displayed during the Jingdezhen International Ceramic Expo and to participate in the Masters Workshops that will take place during this event.

             Artists who wish to indicate their willingness to participate in the Sanbao Ceramic International Park Symposium Project should contact Jackson Li at: jacksonlee24@hotmail.com . Letters of invitation will be sent to assist participants to obtain travel grants from their respective cultural organizations.

 IAC members attending the IAC General Assembly in Xian, China in 2008, should take note that the Sanbao Ceramic Art Institute is the only ceramic organization offering IAC members’ a tour to Tibet.
