Terracotta Warriors and the Great Wall.
Begin the tour in Beijing, then train to Jingdezhen. Travel to Yunnan Province in the southwest of China. Fly to Xian for the Terracotta Warriors. Train to Beijing for international flight home.
This trip will introduce the visitors to the traditions of the ethnic minorities, to their architecture, their life styles and to their crafts such as silver work, traditional pottery, weaving and tie dying.
The group leader, Jackson Li, will introduce the unique cuisines and dishes of the local areas. Jackson Li is an internationally recognized Chinese ceramic artist. He is known for his ability to introduce travelers to the lifestyles of the local people, in their workshops and homes, be they master potters, farmers or local artisans.
He is a graduate of the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute and has been awarded a Master of Fine Arts from Alfred University in the USA. He has exhibited through out the USA, Europe and China.
He is an experienced educator of the ceramic arts and supporter of international exchange art programs. He is also a member of the International Academy of Ceramics as well as an Active member of the National Council for Education of Ceramic Arts (USA) and has lectured at Numerous NCECA Conferences and universities throughout the US.
The tour will require a degree of physical fitness, trekking through villages.
The tour is customized for not more than 14 persons.
