Sanbao Artist Residency Program is structured to foster artistic and cultural exchange with Chinese artists and artisans.

Sanbao offers a special set of scholarship opportunities to enable NCECA members and international artists and artisans to experience a residency at Sanbao, in Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of the world.

A Sanbao Scholarship is available to emerging artists, students and those with strong interests for research and artistic development in Jingdezhen porcelain. The Scholarship award is $100.00US per week during the residency period.

Sanbao Ceramic Art Institute encourages all residency and summer school applicants to apply and states its full support to providing financial assistance to realize your wish to fulfill the dream of a residency in Jingdezhen.

To apply for the Sanbao Scholarship, attach a letter requesting scholarship to your application and indicate if you are an emerging artist, student or someone with strong interests for research and artistic development in Jingdezhen porcelain. Please give a detailed statement of your interests in having an artist residency in Jingdezhen and what you wish to accomplish in a residency at Sanbao. You will be notified of a scholarship award within 2 weeks of application.
